“Lewiston” the first single conjures up the hundreds and hundreds of trips we’ve taken together over the years: long stretches of highway after shows, crossing borders in the middle of the night, driving up to theatres, folk clubs, festivals, hotels, and home.

Next month we get to make one of our favourite drives in the world, heading up to Parry Sound for the final Girls From The North Country show.
We sat down that day intending to record a few rough versions of the new songs; two and a half days later we had finished the whole album. Without intending to, we had recorded ten new songs “live on the floor” in single, complete takes.
